Springboro, Ohio – June 2010 – The American Board of Phlebology has announced that Dr. Sukir Sinnathamby has earned board certification in the specialty of phlebology from the American Board of Phlebology. Dr. Sukir Sinnathamby was first board certified by the ABPh in June of 2009. This is the second class of Diplomates for ABPh, which now includes an exclusive group of 412 Diplomates nationwide.
It’s with great pride that we announce this accomplishment by Dr. Sukir Sinnathamby. His certification with the American Board of Phlebology is a direct reflection of his skill, knowledge, and experience in providing quality patient care, and his continued commitment to the advancement of vein care. To become board certified is truly an accomplishment. Less than 1% of all Phlebology professionals in Canada and the U.S. have earned certification from the ABPh.
To become an ABPh diplomate, an applicant must complete the requisite training or experience qualifications, meet the continuing medical education requisites, and pass a stringent certification examination. Certification periods are ten years and maintenance is dependent on the ability of the diplomate to display competency in four areas of assessment: evidence of professional standing, evidence of commitment to lifelong-learning and periodic self-assessment, evidence of cognitive expertise, evaluation of performance in practice.
Dr. Sukir Sinnathamby, a long-term Dayton resident, is highly skilled in non-invasive evaluations, diagnostic angiograms and interventional cardiology and vascular procedures. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Dayton and attended medical school at Ohio State University. Dr. Sinnathamby is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology as well as a Fellow of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention. Dr. Sinnathamby attended Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he finished his fellowship training in General and Interventional Cardiology, interventional vascular procedures, and also completed his certification as a Vascular Medicine Specialist. He is Board Certified in Endovascular Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology.
On June 19, 2006, Dr. Sukir Sinnathamby, opened the doors to the new vein treatment center, Varicose to Perfect in Springboro, Ohio. Patients who seek relief from varicose and spider veins in the Greater Dayton area and Northern Cincinnati will be treated to advanced vein and laser solutions, including Endovenous Laser Ablation, Hook Phlebectomy, and Schlerotherapy. While Varicose to Perfect caters to patients seeking to erase a few years from their appearance, the practice is very adept at diagnosing and treating more serious varicose veins and circulatory concerns. Dr. Sinnathamby’s decades of experience in vascular medicine bring top notch care to patients and use the least invasive treatments available.
